Growth diagnostics is one of the methodologies we use in our field projects. The method is meant to identify which of the many things that are needed for sustained growth might be holding back progress the most, that is, what is the binding constraint.

This is done through a series of tests. The binding constraint will usually be short in supply and  therefore high in price (such as qualified employees, access to infrastructure). We then ask why this constraint is there and has not been removed.
